Our most valuable asset is a great team. We work across disciplines and across a wide range of specialisms towards one clear goal: a better quality of life for your animal. Listening carefully and observing attentively are as natural to us as transparent, open communication with you. Trust and loyalty towards the people who entrust us with their animals are the foundation of our work.

Medical Director

Veterinarian Susanne Arndt leads Kleintierzentrum Arndt as its owner. Her path in veterinary medicine began with her studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Leipzig. After six years as an assistant veterinarian at a renowned small-animal clinic in Cologne and building up the small-animal department of an animal health centre in Lahr, she has been firmly rooted in the region as an owner for many years. Through the “Master of Small Animal Science” programme at the Free University of Berlin she has undertaken extensive further training and continually specialises in the field of osteosynthesis. As an active member of the German Veterinary Medical Society (DVG) as well as the specialist groups for feline and laser medicine, she combines clinic-level medicine with the personal care of an owner-run practice.

Our Senior Vets

Behind the medical director stands a team of specialists who treat even complex cases at a high level.

  • Veterinarian Sheila Martins – senior vet, specialising in surgery and oncology. Speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
  • Veterinarian Cristiana Negroiu – senior vet, specialising in dentistry and surgery. Speaks Romanian.
  • Veterinarian Monika Perko – senior vet, specialising in internal medicine. Speaks Croatian.

Veterinarians

The leadership is supported by a dedicated team of colleagues: Mahdi Ghorbani, Rohan Schnell, George Brendea, Mohamed Atta, Joana Kulik, Birte Arkan and Rusana Murashka. Together with our veterinary nurses and assistants, they ensure smooth and compassionate care every day.

A Team That Speaks Your Language

Worries are best discussed in your own mother tongue. That is why, in addition to German, we are able to advise you fluently in a total of 13 languages – including English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Polish, Croatian, Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Persian, Arabic and Luxembourgish.

How We Work

Even a large team with different areas of expertise reaches its limits – we push those limits back through constant further training and close cooperation with university clinics. We are passionate about our patients, but we do not overdo high-tech medicine, in order to avoid unnecessary suffering. The animal’s welfare always comes first. If we no longer consider a treatment to be sensible, we explain this to you fully, name all the alternatives and give you time to decide in peace.
