An emergency rarely happens during consultation hours. That is why, in addition to our regular surgery, we offer you the security of a daily emergency service. Outside regular consultation hours, as well as on Sundays and public holidays, our veterinary emergency service takes over.
When the Emergency Service Is There for You
Our emergency service is available daily from 7:00 to 22:00 – 365 days a year, including Sundays and public holidays. This means you and your animal are medically cared for even outside normal consultation hours.
How the Emergency Service Works
In an emergency, please call us first by phone and do not arrive unannounced. On 0721 7508610 we assess the urgency from a medical point of view, prepare the treatment rooms and can make valuable preparations even before you arrive. This shortens the waiting time and reduces stress for your animal at the decisive moment.
Costs in the Emergency Service – Explained Honestly
The cost of veterinary treatment is governed by the nationwide German Scale of Fees for Veterinarians (GOT). Special rules apply during the statutory emergency service, over which we have no influence:
- A mandatory emergency service fee is charged.
- During the emergency service, treatments must be billed at an increased fee rate.
- As usual, costs for medication, consumables and laboratory results are added.
These surcharges are required by law. We are open about them and will gladly provide you with a transparent cost estimate before any larger procedure.
