Billing is carried out on the basis of the Scale of Fees for Veterinarians (Gebührenordnung für Tierärzte, GOT) of 28 July 1999 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 1691 ff.), taking into account the 1st Regulation amending the GOT of 27 April 2005 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 1160), the 2nd Regulation amending the GOT of 30 June 2008 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 1105 ff.) and the 3rd Regulation amending the GOT of 19 July 2017 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 2696).

It is also carried out on the basis of the Medicinal Products Price Regulation (Arzneimittelpreisverordnung, AMPreisV) of 14 November 1980 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 2147), last amended by Article 2b of the Act of 27 March 2014 (Federal Law Gazette I p. 261).

The Chamber Act for the Healthcare Professions (Heilkammergesetz – HKG) in the version of 16 March 1995 applies, as well as the Code of Professional Conduct of the Landestierärztekammer Baden-Württemberg of 22 October 2020.
